An Embarrassing Moment — Ministry book
Last Saturday, I experienced the most mortifying situation of my life while hanging out with my friends. We had decided to hit the town and celebrate Rawan's promotion at a cool downtown restaurant.
Everything started perfectly. We were having a wonderful time, laughing and catching up on old times. The atmosphere was lively, and everyone seemed cheerful—quite the opposite of our usual dull weeknight gatherings. I was feeling confident and sociable, completely unaware of the disaster that was about to happen.
When the waiter brought our food, I reached for the salt shaker. Owing to my clumsiness, I knocked over not just my drink, but also Sarah's juice, which splashed all over her brand-new white dress. The silence that followed was unbearable. Sarah looked annoyed, and I felt absolutely helpless.
Sarah was upset, and she went to clean her dress. When she came back, she found me pale as a ghost. Sarah felt how embarrassed I was, and told me that such incidents happen all the time. At this time, I realized how important it is to have true friends who stand by your side through thick and thin. I also learned to be more careful.
