Use this classic 3-part structure — Ministry book
- Introduce the main character(s)
- Set the time and place (Where? When?)
- Show the situation or problem
- Show what happens (the action or conflict)
- Describe how the character tries to solve the problem
- Add tension or surprise
- End the story clearly
- Solve the problem (happy, sad, or unexpected ending)
- Show what the character learns or feels
Format
Use short paragraphs. Add feelings: scared, excited, proud.
Language tools
Use compound adjectives: ice-cold rain, heart-warming ending.
Use idioms: "She was over the moon."
Useful Tools
- Tense: Usually past simple and past continuous
- Linking Words: Then, suddenly, after that, while, finally, in the end
- Adjectives/Adverbs: scary, exciting, slowly, angrily
- Dialog: Add characters' speech (use "" quotation marks)

They say if you listen carefully on stormy nights, you can still hear the sea woman's song—reminding people that the sea is beautiful, powerful, and full of secrets. |
